Adjoining to Taifeng Park and TEDA Football Court and with a land coverage of 90 000 sq. m, TEDA No.21 Middle and Primary School is situated on the 4th street of TEDA. A floor area of 40000 sq. m is already completed in Phase I and the on-campus students have come to more than 300 presently.
Tianjin Maritime Vocational Institute is a comprehensive full-time state-owned and public higher vocational institute focusing mainly on seamen cultivation. It is situated on the 11th Street of TEDA. The land area of the school is 190 796 sq. m and the floor area is 110 000 sq. m. The school also has a 40 000 sq. m maritime training base outside of the school. By fully taking the advantage of Tianjin as an international port, the school provides such courses as navigation skill, turbine engineering, non-destructive testing, container transportation management and logistics management to offer talents for Binhai’s regional economic development.
Tianjin Biological Engineering Vocational Institute is situated in the west part of TEDA. The school has a land area of 300 mu and a floor area of 100 000 sq. m. The school offers such specialties as chemical drug-making technology, TCM development technology, biological drug-making technology, drug marketing and management. The school gives priority to the cultivation of talents needy by drug sales, production and the TCM modernization.
Till the present, TEDA already has 21 educational institutions and the on-campus student figure has come to 26408, a growth of 15% year-on-year. The five higher learning institutions in TEDA have 19500 students, a growth of 27% compared with that in 2005.
