According to the latest employment data released by the Tianjin Human Resource and Social Security Bureau yesterday, a total of 278,100 new jobs had been created by the end of July this year, a rise of 2.17% from a year earlier. Amongst these, 161,100 new jobs were created by the service sector, accounting for 62.42% of all the new jobs.Â

New jobs are created thanks to the development of the economy, according to the Tianjin Human Resource and Social Security Bureau. The major economic programs, service sector and medium and small size enterprises are the main generators of new jobs.Â

Meanwhile, to improve the employment rate of new graduates, a total of 216 job fairs have been held in Tianjin, offering more than 100,000 job opportunities. Moreover, the number of internship bases for new graduates in Tianjin has reached 1,360. A total of 38,000 graduates have taken the internships, and the employment rate has reached 90%.Â

In addition, the labor shortage of some enterprises during the Lunar Chinese New Year has been solved with the deficit falling from 82,000 to 8,000 people.Â
