If you have some free time, go see a great show put on by the students at the International School of Tianjin. I saw it today and found it to be very exhilarating!
Very rarely do I get the chance to see a live performance. But today, I had the great fortune to discover something new in an unexpected place. That place was the International School of Tianjin and what I found was a performance that they labeled as "Off Broadway" but, in my opinion, was not that far off. The students came together in a diversified but unified crew to achieve a musical production that any Director would be proud of.
This live and colorful performance by the students, which looked to be around the ages of 8 to 16 or so, was delightful. There was a harmony among them and it was refreshing to see the youth focusing their energy towards the arts.
The band added in their effect to bring an ambiance to the theater that was truly special and reminded me of when I was in High School a long long long time ago. Okay, maybe I am not that old, yet! :-)
As I was sitting through the show, I began to imagine that the IST logo, I was seeing on the band members shirts, really meant, "It's Something Terrific," instead of the International School of Tianjin.
I truly hope to be able to attend future performances which will surely add to my cerebral fitness.
