The Westin Tianjin has recently launched a Salsa Club at the hotel's Latin themed bar, Qba. The Salsa Club was officially launched on 18 November 2016 and will take place every Saturday from 8pm until late.
The Salsa Club is led by Jennifer Meng, an experienced dance coach who runs a Salsa teaching studio in Tianjin. Focusing on both Salsa and Bachata dance styles, Jennifer begins the dance sessions at Qba with some introductory dance steps for the beginners, before encouraging participants to pair off and enjoy dancing together whist following her lead. For those who are keener to watch the Salsa dancing, Jennifer also regularly does special dance performance with other teachers.
A Salsa Club launch party took place on 18 November at Qba and was attended by some of the most renowned Salsa dancers and teachers in China, including the national champion, national Lady Styling champion and professional dancers from the Beijing Ostrich Salsa Club. Along with helping to teach the guests at Qba, they also did some special performance shows, many performing in Tianjin for the first time.
As the only bar in Tianjin to hold a regular salsa dance party, Qba is an ideal choice for people who want to learn how to dance, or to practice dancing, in a fun and vibrant atmosphere. Professional salsa teachers from all over the country will attend the party regularly, and each month the bar will also host a guest DJ and live music performances. Guests at the bar can enjoy a variety of expertly made cocktails, original Latin food and live Cuban music in an authentically Latin environment.
The Salsa Club takes place every Saturday at Qba from 8pm till late, and the charge is CNY 30 which includes one drink. For the price of CNY 100 guests can enjoy free flow selected drinks.
