KAISEN DON assorted seafood rice bowlIn the month of April, Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin, Ornato Antunes, has specially invited Chef Mitsui, Yuichi from The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa, to present an exquisite Japanese dining experience for guests at ZEST from 10 to 13 April 2017.


Japanese cuisine is famous for its use of fresh and carefully-selected ingredients, making it one of the most popular around the world. Japanese food's emphasis on health and nutrition also make it an ideal choice for modern food enthusiasts.


During the Japanese Food Festival, Chef Mitsui will showcase his magic in culinary expertise by utilizing the best ingredients. In addition to enjoying the creative fusion of traditional and modern cooking methods, guests also get to witness Chef Mitsui in action at the open kitchen.


Since opening its doors, The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin, has constantly looked for ways to spice up its usual offerings of Chinese, Southeast Asian and Western cuisines, as well as the classic British afternoon tea experience by inviting renowned chefs from around the world to introduce an international gourmet experience to Tianjin. Speaking Japanese and English, Chef Mitsui is currently the Japanese Head Chef at Gusuku, the all-day-dining restaurant of The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa. Throughout a cooking career that has spanned 25 years, Chef Mitsui was not only working for luxury hotels, but also elevated his craft at a one-Michelin-starred restaurant. Chef Mitsui is also a Japanese macrobiotic instructor in addition to his mastery of cooking.
