TEDA MSD first appeared in the news going: "The construction of Modern Service District of the Development Area (TEDA MSD for short) is accelerating. TEDA MSD held the Contract Signing Ceremony and the Beijing-Tianjin Media Press Conference at Tianjin TEDA International Hotel, welcoming a range of clients residing. Representatives of the Signing Ceremony are Binhai Investment Group, Tianjin Binhai Intellectual Property Exchange International, and the Executive Center, the first serviced office of international standard in Binhai New Area.
That month 19th, TEDA MSD was on the front page of Tianjin Daily, titling "A Levelled-Up CBD, TEDA Modern Service District Values Tens of Billions Yuan and Will be Substantially Finished by the End of This Year".
The completed TEDA MSD Core District -the first A class business functional area of Binhai New Area - attracted a vast amount of enterprises and institutions from home and abroad, including Veolia, China State Construction, International SOS Pte Ltd., SOHU, 58.com, Yongyou App, Sinopec Group, Foxconn, the Bank of East Asia, Hang Seng Bank Limited, China Bohai Bank, and the Executive Center. Four top class office buildings with international standard, two commercial podiums with a total area of 60,000 square meters, and Taishihui, a food street with 10,000 square meters, acentral garden of 30,000 square meters and a roof-garden of 15,000 square meters are included in this completed Core District of TEDA MSD.
With Isetan Binhai's opening in TEDA MSD, TEDA has now one more large shopping mall. Isetan Binhaiis located in the commercial podium of TEDA MSD Zone B, welcoming citizens in and around the Development Area and Binhai New Area.
Tianjin Daily complimented MSD once more, with a reporttitling "An Upgraded CBD is Standing in the Development Area". According to the report, driving along the Second Avenue of the Development Area, turning east-south to Xincheng Road West, you can see several skyscrapers surrounded by green plants. The buildings show distinct maturity with their inside garden, surrounding green plants, high-end shopping malls like Isetan, restaurants, cafes, and transport, education and medical institutions. This is TEDA MSD, an "Upgraded CBD".
A low-carbon sample building with 28 world leading environmental protection technologies has been finished in TEDA MSD. The building has louvre on both the bottom and the top that can be opened and closed with the seasons changing. Mechanical energy can be transferred into electricity when elevators descend and lift up light loads to produce energy. Horizontal light pipes installed in the office districts can not only decline the use of electric lights but also kill the bacteria in the building, purifying the air.
TEDA MSD was elected one of the Tianjin Landmark Real Estates, and it was the only property in Binhai New Area on the list.
