Following the establishment of the Gulou Tourism Supermarket, Tianjin now has another tourism sales gathering place: Heping Road Integrity Tourism Street.
There are about 20 travel agencies in this street and they have set up Tianjin's first Tourism Integrity Alliance to jointly resist zero and negative tour charges to improve the quality of tourism services. It is learned that this model of Integrity Tourism Street will be introduced throughout the six districts of Tianjin to create a reassuring travel environment by means of clustering travel agencies.
The alliance will jointly regulate the controlled prices of travel products based on the costs by way of market competition; members will not be allowed to attract tourists by price cutting.
In addition to the travel liability insurance of each agency, members of the alliance will jointly buy a group travel liability insurance. In the event of a major travel accident the tourists involved will have double insurance cover — from their travel agency and from the alliance.
