032Beijing Forbidden City - In addition to emperors, ghosts and visiting VIPs, the night zone is traditionally banned - after the Chinese New Year holiday is celebrated, the lanterns and panting are lit up after dark on Tuesday.

033034035This complex Chinese emperor has lived for five centuries and has been open for the first time since the reincarnation of the National Palace Museum 94 years ago. On the 15th day of the New Year, it marks the Lantern Festival, which opens up a dazzling sight.

031037The walls of the palace are dotted with red lanterns - designed to recreate the feeling of the old palace - while the Chinese National Traditional Orchestra and Peking Opera perform, a light illuminates the complex. A photo of a precious scroll called “The Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains” was passed to the roof of the palace.

039However, most of China's 1.3 billion people have to be content to watch the show on TV or in the mountains in the park behind the complex.

030Only 3,000 people are allowed to participate: 2,500 invited guests, including model workers, messengers, sanitation staff, officials, soldiers and ambassadors, and 500 people who book tickets online.

034The Forbidden City was the hometown of the Ming and Qing emperors who retired from China's last emperor between 1420 and 1912. It was converted into the National Palace Museum in 1925 and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 1980s. It is one of the most popular attractions in China and a must-see for most visitors.

0393The Palace Museum is carrying out activities to attract more tourists. The curator alone said that he hopes to make Chinese people more accessible to Chinese traditional culture.
