As of February 2, Confirmed cases totaled 17,205 in China mainland and the death toll is 361. Meanwhile, the first death outside China was recorded in the Philippines.
As if the coronavirus is not bad enough. China has reported an H5N1 bird flu outbreak in Hunan province and culled 18,000 chicken.
Huoshenshan Hospital
A big boost to medical resources, and public confidence, is the completion of the quarantine hospital in Wuhan. The construction took nine days and it should accommodate more than 1,000 patients.
