Passengers taking trains to Beijing are required to undergo security checks and temperature measurements twice at railway stations in Tianjin as security is enhanced, the China Railway Shanghai Group has announced.
The mandatory security measures will last till May 28, the group said.
Real-name verification for passengers heading to Beijing has also been strengthened, the group said.
Passengers are reminded to allow enough time for their progress through railway stations.
They should also wear masks throughout the trip, the group said.
The 13th National People's Congress, the country's top legislature, will open its third annual session in Beijing on May 22.
