The long boom of a large crawler crane crashed down onto a road in Wuhan China landing on two cars.
The crane was said to be lifting a large steel tank or cage, when it tipped sideways with the boom coming down onto a building/arch at the entrance to the site of the new Wuhan Yangtze River Commercial Centre with the rest falling into the road. Two people were badly injured but are said to be in a stable condition.
The contractor - the China Fortune Foundation Company - said that the project engineering division is fully cooperating with clearing the site and with the investigation into what occurred.
