It's part of the country's push to reach an ambitious target of immunising 40% of its population of 1.4 billion by June.
Some Weibo users in Beijing have circulated a poster, which says residents over the age of 60 who are vaccinated "can get two cartons of fresh eggs for free".
Tina Liu, from Beijing, said a local grocery shop in her neighbourhood was promoting veggies for the vaccinated.
"Soon after the vaccine was rolling out, the grocery shop beside my building had put out a sign, saying, 'If you are vaccinated, you are qualified to get a whole box of vegetables with 5 yuan only'," she said.
In Beijing, the vaccinated can also be rewarded with a buy-one-get-one-free ice cream cone.
One restaurant was offering free chicken wings and dumplings, while others were offering colourful certificates and even cash in exchange for getting the jab.
"Villagers who are not vaccinated will be blacklisted from the government's welfare. It would also impact their children's education, work and house buying," a government directive in Wanning, a country town in Hainan province, stated.
Officials have since apologised, and cancelled that directive, which also prohibited public transport for the unvaccinated.
