Daily Covid-19 cases are rising again in China with pockets of resurgence in major cities, and authorities have imposed mass testing and widespread travel restrictions in some areas. Tianjin will also strengthen epidemic control and prevention measures by tightening its management on tourists entering.
Tourist spots in Tianjin will only be allowed to fill 75 percent of their operating capacity, Tianjin Ministry of Culture and Tourism said in a statement.
Tourist attractions with the highest 5A-level ratings and major 4A-level spots are encouraged to implement the reservation system, the ministry added.
Visitors are required to have their body temperature checked before entering scenic areas, and practice social distancing while using public transport and dining in restaurants, among other public places.
It also demanded hotels, theaters, museums, and public libraries strengthen containment measures and reduce the number of indoor gatherings.
