A 574-year old Confucius Temple has been re-opened in north China's Tianjin Municipality after three years of restoration, according to the local cultural relics authorities.
A 90-meter-long wall with inscriptions of the 16,000-character " Analects of Confucius" was built inside the Tianjin Confucius Temple during the restoration. This was the first time that "The Analects of Confucius" was carved on an outdoor wall in a Confucius Temple in China.
The Tianjin Confucius Temple, the largest group of ancient structures preserved in the city, was built in 1436, covering an area of 15,000 square meters.
