On October 25, Elephant News received a request for help from Mr. Wu (pseudonym) from Gongan County, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. He told Elephant News reporters that at 2 p.m. on October 2, his wife went to Gongan County with her two-month-old child. Maternal and Child Health Hospital, vaccinated with hepatitis B vaccine and polio vaccine respectively. There were no abnormalities in the child after vaccination.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, the child started crying and could not sleep. The hospital informed him that "it is a normal reaction after vaccination." At around 1 a.m. on the 4th, 40 hours after receiving the vaccine, my wife sadly discovered that her child had passed away.
"I have been working out of town and have not had time to see my child for the last time." Mr. Wu said that after learning the news, he communicated with local hospitals, health commissions, judicial appraisal agencies and other departments many times, but did not receive a satisfactory answer.
