SOLANA mall in Beijing's Chaoyang district was designated China's first inbound consumer-friendly commercial circle on Monday, introducing various payment methods including foreign e-wallets and global card acceptance to facilitate payments for foreign visitors.
Zhang Xiaofei, general manager of the SOLANA mall, said ease of payment is a crucial factor in creating a consumer-friendly environment.
Currently, all cashier counters in the mall prominently feature English prompts noticing the availability of foreign digital wallets. Key merchants also accept Visa cards, and many restaurants not only provide English menus but also have staff proficient in English communication, Zhang added.
As of now, through the integration of Alipay+, a digital payment platform in China, a total of 11 e-wallets from regions and countries including Hong Kong, Macau, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, and others are available for direct QR code payments within the country.
