It is reported that Tianjin Metallurgical No 1 Steel & Iron Group has recently commissioned its new CRC steel sheet production in Dalian Binhai new area, with the new CRC output capacity adding up by 1 million tonnes per year which was the major one in Tianjin second batch of construction projects in 2008.
As per report, the project with the total investment of CNY 5 billion, divided into two stages for construction, taking an area of 1,500 mus in total is mainly engaged in high level steel plate production. Although output from the new line will eventually target the white-goods and electronic device sectors, it will initially produce commercial CRC.
The company plans to finish the project in five years and the first stage project is estimated to start production in Nov 2010.
