The white iPhone 4 is coming into the market in China, to join the USA, UK and 25 other countries at present. The device will be available for a suggested price of CNY 4,999 for the 16 GB model and CNY 5,999 for the 32 GB model.
Suning Appliances is already offering reservations for 16 GB models, with the items arriving on April 30. However, before the May Day holiday, China Unicom in Tianjin said they “haven’t received any reservations or been informed when the new cellphones will be available for retail.”
The white iPhone 4 has appeared in the flagship Apple stores in Beijing but each costumer is restricted to a maximum of two devices.
Due to quantity limitations, with just 3,000 devices in total, even scalpers have joined the panic-buying crowds. But an Apple products seller warned consumers not to buy the iPhone 4 through illicit channels, since the price will still be high while the quality is not guaranteed.
Since Apple fever is spreading across China, the new white iPhone 4 will surely be a big hit in the digital market.
