The opening ceremony for the China Tourism Industry Area was held recently in Binhai New Area, Tianjin.
The China Tourism Industry Area is constructed by China National Tourism Administration and Tianjin municipal government. Located to the north of Binhai, it covers 99 square kilometers, covers almost all administrative area of Binhai Tourism Area, and will have an 81-kilometer open sea, inland sea, and riverside travel and leisure shoreline.
The China Tourism Industry Area will focus on the service industry and tourism industry supply chains: especially travel, leisure and vacation industry, commercial and service industry, the tourism equipment manufacturing industry, and headquarters economy. It is estimated that the total investment to the Area will approach CNY300 billion by 2020, the annual output value will reach CNY50 billion, and the total tourism revenue will be CNY20 billion.
Binhai Tourism Area Management Committee has signed agreements with several enterprises on projects such as the National Maritime Museum, Happy Water Cube, Rilong Game Industry Base, Shell Bank Wetland Park, Tiancheng International Spa Hotel, and HiSIBI International Yacht Town.
