The Vietnamese Food Festival’s opening ceremony was held at Spectrum All Day Dining, Hotel Nikko Tianjin on 26 August. General Manager Michael Borostyan welcomed 60 guests, including media and VIPs from Vietnam Airways. The guests then enjoyed the exquisite Vietnamese food on offer from the guest chefs, Chef Pham and Chef Nguyen, who have been working in Hotel Nikko Hanoi for over 15 years.
A Vietnamese food promotion will take place from 26 August to 9 September, for the lunch and dinner buffets, while a New Zealand Wine Maker dinner, where New Zealand wine is paired with Vietnamese Food will be held on 9 September 2011, priced at RMB 358+ per person. During the promotion, the hotel will also sell Vietnamese traditional hue hats, Vietnamese coffee and traditional Vietnamese costume doll and beautiful scenery fridge magnets.
Vietnamese cuisine is popular for the freshness of the ingredients and for its healthy eating style. The recipes utilize a diverse range of herbs, including lemongrass, mint, and Thai basil leaves. Signature Vietnamese dishes include temptations such as Vietnamese fresh spring roll, Vietnamese rice noodle soup, steamed snail stuffed with pork meat, fried fresh soft shell turtle with salt, deep-fried sugar cane shrimp paste, stewed beef with lemongrass, green young sticky rice and many more.
