St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the newest addition to its rapidly growing Asian portfolio of hotels, The St. Regis Tianjin, scheduled to open in October, 2011.  The iconic new hotel, situated in the financial heart of Heping District in Tianjin, is destined to become a city landmark and epicenter for influential business leaders, society tastemakers and discerning travelers.

The 276-room St. Regis Tianjin is ideally located in the prestigious Heping district along the picturesque Hai River, considered the “Jin Men” or “Gateway” to Tianjin, home to Northern China’s most treasured cultural, historic and natural attractions. Walking distance to the major business and financial centers and to the bullet train to Beijing (which only takes 30 minutes), The St. Regis Tianjin is an exquisite sanctuary of unsurpassed elegance at one of Tianjin’s most coveted addresses. The hotel will also be the first in Tianjin to introduce the signature St. Regis Butler Service, the largest Presidential Suite in Tianjin as well as a world of epicurean experiences that are unmatched in Tianjin, with restaurants that are bound to become destinations in and of themselves for visiting travelers and locals alike, including the best contemporary European bistro reminiscent of a modern Parisian brasserie.

“We’re delighted to be placing the finishing touches and preparing to welcome guests to Tianjin’s newest and most luxurious hotel,” said Damon Page, General Manager of The St. Regis Tianjin.  “The St Regis name is synonymous with grace, style and elegance, its uncompromising and bespoke butler service and location at the most desired address will certainly set the new benchmark in luxury lifestyle in Tianjin.”

Showcasing architecture by the world-renowned firm of Skidmore Owings and Merrill, The St. Regis Tianjin will be a spectacular addition to the city’s skyline.  Located on the picturesque south bank of the Hai River, the iconic 18 floor building is constructed of steel and glass in the shape of a hollowed cube that further complements the concept of “Jin Men.”

Luxury Accommodations & Service

With interior design by the world-renowned KCA International, The St. Regis Tianjin translates a century of glamour into cutting-edge elegance. The hotel will offer 240 guest rooms and 36 suites which will be beautifully appointed, providing travelers with a unique respite from the hectic urban pace.

During the stay, each guest will enjoy the discreet personal St. Regis Butler service – a first for a Tianjin hotel. For more than a century, the renowned St. Regis Butler Service has been the famed hallmark of the St. Regis Hotels and Resorts.  Trained by Tony Sharp, the butler trainer for St. Regis, and led by Foster Yu, the Chief Butler of the hotel, the St. Regis butler team will provide ever-present yet unobtrusive service while anticipating guests’ needs.

Unparalleled Culinary Offerings

The St. Regis Tianjin will offer a world of distinctive epicurean experiences with a few unique firsts introduced to the culinary scene in Tianjin.

With a dedicated menu and ambiance reminiscent of a modern brasserie, Riviera Restaurant will bring the contemporary Parisian bistro experience to Tianjin. Guests will enjoy a daily menu of modern French dishes paired with selections from an expansive list of international wines. Featuring gorgeous views of the Hai River, Promenade provides Italian and Mediterranean menus during lunch and dinner with dishes perfect for sharing, including its signature dish “Pizza by the meter” as well as a remarkable olive oil collection. Tianjin’s fashionable set will love Yan Ting, a modern Chinese restaurant specializing in Cantonese cuisine which showcases a relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere. The restaurant features a menu that offers both light fast fare as well as multiple course meals including the only 24K Silver and Gold Menus in Tianjin for celebrating wedding anniversaries. Yan Ting offers 11 private rooms and presents menus specially designed to appeal to both business executives dropping in for a quick lunch or for a group of socialites spending an afternoon together or celebrating special occasions with their families in Tianjin. Decanter is the perfect place for wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs; featuring an extensive wine cellar with wines from the world’s most celebrated vineyards. Additionally, guests and patrons will delight at The St. Regis Bar, where they can enjoy The Bloody Mary Menu, featuring the ‘Jin Mary,’ Tianjin’s own take on the original cocktail created at The King Cole Bar at The St. Regis New York. A rare haven of refined luxury, The St. Regis Bar is also a place for guests to enjoy the enduring tradition of St. Regis Afternoon Tea and Kung Fu Tea Service.
