About 5,006 Enterprises Joined in Binhai New Area’s Collective Negotiation System on Wages which Involves 290,000 Staff and Workers

altThe reporter learned from the General Labor Unions of the Tianjin Binhai New Area that, as of the end of last year, there have been 5,006 enterprises implementing the collective wage negotiation of the Binhai New Area which covers 290,000 staff and workers. This year, the new area will further promote the collective negotiation system on wages as well as perfect the normal growth of the enterprise wage and payment safeguard mechanism.

It is understood that given the characteristics such as numerous key projects, foreign-funded enterprises, migrant workers, peasant workers, and complex labor relations etc., the General Labor Unions and other departments of Binhai New Area will promote the collective negotiation system on wages to focus on safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the staff, building a harmonious and stable labor relations, establishing a sound collective negotiation system on wages research supervision system as well as appraisal and reward system; according to the actual situation of the region, industry and enterprise, it will adjust the negotiation content and means, expand the coverage involved collective negotiation system on wage; establish models, take efforts to implement training for instructors who works in collective negotiation system on wage in order to realize the “one-on-one” guidance services; in addition, take creating a harmonious enterprise, collective negotiations system on wage as an significant qualifications for model enterprise and advanced enterprise assessment with the implementation of one vote veto. Last year, the number of enterprises that joined in the collective negotiation system on wage has increased to 5,006, a net increase of 1,661 enterprises as compared to that of 2010.

It is reported that the new area will advance the collective negotiation system on wage with a clear focus this year, including exploring and establishing the standard of collective wage negotiation mechanism to expand the rate of organizational system through consultations in foreign-funded enterprises, in particular the world’s top 500 foreign-funded enterprises; take effort to promote regional industry collective negotiation system on wage of SMEs in the old city; and promote the enterprise with more than 25 people to conduct the collective negotiations on wage according to law and signing the collective agreement on wage.
