Beijing and Tianjin are working together to promote inter-city tourism. Departments from both cities have decided to remove highway charges for tourism buses.

It's estimated the new policy will save 1 million yuan for 25 tour agencies in Beijing and Tianjin until the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the two cities, along with one province, have launched the "Smart Card" for tourists. Citizens in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province can purchase the card for 130 yuan, which allows them to enter nearly 90 scenic spots in the two cities and one province. The regular price to visit all of the sights is worth nearly 2,000 yuan.
