The second of series activities of “Carnival of Crossover” which contains “Cannot Carry The World” theme show of illustrations, Xi Li innovation bazaar, the show of outdoor bands and open-air films was sponsored by Tianjin Historic Building Company in Min Yuan Xi Li on May 18, 2013.
The most unique activity was “Cannot Carry The World” theme show of illustrations. More than sixty illustrations in this exhibition were lead painted by Beijing famous illustrator Chen Si, and the figure captions were written by Beijing famous text writer Hao Lianhui. This show is the first time that they held in Tianjin, the “words in the pictures but the means outside words” concept of paintings were fully reflected. In addition, through the way which has the lively lines and clearly form of illustrations, they wanted to share their little feeling and throb of life with audiences, and hoped to inspire audiences’ more imaginations.
Since Min Yuan Xi Li was opening, the organizers committed to cooperation and exchanging with artists, kept introducing some rich culture connotation exhibition activities in order to provide the close contract with contemporary art for the public. Min Yuan Xi Li is gradually becoming a bright cultural card in Wudadao.
