Foreign trade volume in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone totaled 185.15 billion CNY (30.41 billion USD) in the first quarter this year, data from local Customs.

The amount was up 2.1 percent from last quarter, with export volume down 5.2 percent to 45.65 billion CNY and imports up 4.7 percent to 139.5 billion CNY. It was 6.5 percent more than the same period last year.

Nationwide, foreign trade volume dropped 3.7 percent year-on-year in the first three months.
