The Mainland's Taiwan affairs spokesman on Wednesday suggested Taiwan authorities respect business choices when commenting on a cross-Strait outsourcing deal blocked on "security grounds".
Â
Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the remarks at a regular press conference on Wednesday.
Â
Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. planned to purchase equipment from a mainland manufacturer, Huawei Technologies Limited, for 4G base stations. The deal was thwarted by authorities on the island for fear of leaking classified information.
Â
Ma suggested Taiwan authorities refrain from mingling its mainland trade policies with considerations on other fronts.Â
