On 26 November, the early evening commencement ceremony of German bank, Commerzbank was held on the 6th floor of the Nikko Hotel to open its doors in Tianjin. The new Tianjin Branch (Commerzbank's fourth branch in China), will be located in Exchange Tower 2 of Nanjing Road. The ceremony was presided over by Tianjin Vice-Mayor Cui. Other special guests in attendance included Shanghai Branch General Manager, Peter Vent and Commerzbank Divisional Board Mermber, Dr. Bernd Laber. The grand opening included speeches from Vice Mayor Cui on the continual development of Tianjin and its financial sector, the Tianjin Branch Manager, and several other Commerzbank executives. The speeches commenced with a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony and were followed by a cocktail social to conclude the evening.
