In the first quarter of this year, under the support of multiple national “early and pilot implementation” policies, Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone has improved its regional investment environment increasingly and enlarged its project adsorption effect gradually. In the first quarter, Rongsheng, a leading large-scale heavy industry group in China, top-co, a Canadian manufacturer of oil drilling equipment which ranks No. 4 in the world and many other high-quality projects have settled here one after another. Moreover, the absorption effect of Dongjiang leading industries represented by financial leasing, logistics, and international products trading are improved with each passing day, symbolizing that the quality of regional economic operation is enhanced dramatically.
The financial leasing industry is not only the “characteristic brand” but also a leading industry of Dongjiang. According to the work plan formulated at the beginning of this year, Dongjiang will newly increase 100 one-aircraft and one-ship enterprises within the whole year., and merely in the first quarter, 60 various leasing companies have been newly registered in Dongjiang, of which, there are more than 50 one-aircraft companies, which symbolizes a remarkable improvement of regional absorption effect. As more and more one-aircraft and one-ship companies settled here one after another, Dongjiang has become the biggest and the most important one-aircraft and one-ship leasing base in China.
Apart from aircraft and ship leasing, upon a batch of high-quality projects’ settlement such as Rongsheng Heavy Industry and Der International Home Furnishing Co., Ltd., the forms of Dongjiang leasing industry are increasingly diversified. For instance, Rongsheng is a leading large-scale heavy industry group in China; it possesses ship and marine engineering production bases and diesel engine manufacturing bases the construction of which were proved by the National Development and Reform Commission; those bases involve businesses from ship building, marine engineering, power engineering to engineering machinery, etc. In the future, Rongsheng will carry out ship, marine engineering equipment leasing in Dongjiang, which will inject new vigor and vitality to the rapid development of financial leasing industry in Dongjiang.
Up till now, there are 234 various leasing companies registered in Dongjiang, 179 of which are one-aircraft companies, 34 are one-ship companies, and 30 are headquarter-type leasing companies. Till now, those companies has totally leased 58 aircrafts, 26 offshore ships and two aircraft engines, the total leasing assets of which amounts to five billion dollars.
As top-co of Canada and MercedesBenz and many other quality projects settled in Dongjiang Logistics Processing Area and Yingli Green Energy and many other famous enterprises set up import-export bases in Dongjiang, which dramatically improved the development of Dongjiang logistics processing industry. It is reported that, the top-co international company that joined hands with Dongjiang last month is the world’s fourth oil drilling equipment manufacturer and accounts for 1/10 of the global market. According to the investment agreement, top-co will make a preliminary investment of six million dollars to its project in Dongjiang; in addition, it is striving to gain a production value of 120 million dollars within five years and transfer 80% of its product manufacturing business in Canada to China within ten years, which will create enormous business incomes and facilitate the development of Dongjiang .
“As Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone is provided with multiple preferential policies and functions, in the future, it will be as a long-standing exhibition and trading center for international purchase, allocation and distribution of foods and subsidiary agricultural products from the United States, Canada, and Europe, so as to enlarge the cross-border transaction scales of subsidiary agricultural products. We are fully confident in making investment here,” said a responsible person from Dongjiang International Agricultural Product Trading Fair which was just registered in Dongjiang last month.
As we learned, currently, Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone has formed three reporting and communication channels for market construction, namely, the Special Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Commerce, Tianjin Commission of Commerce and the Management Committee. It has also further implemented a batch of market projects and set up the supportive comprehensive service platforms for trading fairs. Up till now, Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone has registered for a number of spot transaction market companies involving watercrafts, shipping, red wine, engineering machinery, diary products, frozen foods, and precious and rare metals, giving full play to its function in investment promotion for trading fairs. International trading and logistics distribution and delivery and other 14 supportive projects have gathered here, revealing trading fair’s role in promoting the gathering of logistics and information flow.
