On June 7, 2012, Renaissance Hotels officially asked their hotel guests to “get out” of their hotel rooms…and discover. For one incredible day, 152 Renaissance properties in 34 destinations around the world encouraged more than 30,000 of their hotel guests to leave their rooms to get out and discover unforgettable moments at the hotel through unexpected onsite activities and through a variety of off-site fascinating local experiences. The global “Get Out & Discover” initiative was created to bring to life the brand’s core mission as seen in the first-ever global advertising campaign, "Live Life to Discover."
More than twenty Renaissance Hotels encouraged guests to discover an exclusive music experience onsite at select hotels in key destinations around the world including New York, Boston, Dallas, Hong Kong, London, and Paris. The RLife LIVE events featured live and intimate performances by local emerging artists. The exclusive RLife LIVE entertainment platform launched in October 2010 has received acclaimed reviews from Billboard and The New York Times. The program has featured the likes of Bruno Mars, Robyn, Janelle Monae, and Robin Thicke.
In Tianjin, Renaissance hotel guests experienced the “Get Out & Discover” local discovery activities that vibrantly reflected the abundant and rich culture Tianjin has to offer. In Renaissance Sanya Resort and Spa, however, the spirit of the tropics was all over the hotel as a live performance was held with cool cocktails served as their treat to hotel guests.

Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Convention Centre Hotel
Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Convention Centre Hotel invited its guests to discover some of the tucked away hidden gems in TEDA. Guests were brought to a Uyghur restaurant named Herembag, which means “Garden of Heaven” in Uyghur. It is not only a place to eat, but also a small museum of Uyghur culture. After appreciating the dance performance of the hotel staff who came from Uyghur one or two months ago, guests were invited on a Uyghur culture tour inside the restaurant. The evening started and closed with a superb dinner of strong local characteristics made by Uyghur local staff. Everyone was sure to get the real meaning of “Get Out & Discover”.

Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa asked guests to “GET OUT” of their hotel rooms and discover an exclusive RLife LIVE performance by a true “Sanya” band – “Rising Dragon” in the Star Fish Bar. The band plays regularly at various events on both mainland & Hainan. The keyboard player Jacky has performed as the keyboard player for "The future police", a movie premiere which was performed by super celebrity Andy Liu in 2010, and was involved in the production of the single American jazz Godfather of Soul by Bobby Taylor. The food and beverage team has created “R Twist” cocktails and snacks with local elements, which was served around the bar & in their starlit swimming pool.
