Amenities in Tianjin Eco-City are falling in place and a basic community is forming, according to Mr Ho Tong Yen, chief executive officer of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Investment and Development Co Ltd, the project's developer.Â
Â
Nearly six years into its construction, about 10,000 homes have been sold, with more than 10,000 residents and more than 1,000 registered companies in the Eco-City.Â
Â
Speaking on Wednesday at the World Cities Summit's China In-Focus Forum, Mr ho said future plans include a hospital to be completed next year, a five-star hotel, and even a theme park which is nearly completed.Â
Â
Mr Ho also shared that the firm is hoping to "bring aspects of Singapore's DNA over." It recently brought over water-saving thimbles from the Public Utilities Board, to be distributed among residents.Â
