A new terminal will put into service at Tianjin Binhai International Airport on August 28. Domestic flights will gradually be transferred from terminal one to terminal two, which is the new terminal and which will basically serve domestic flights.
Terminal two is the most important part of the expansion project and is located on the east side of terminal one. The length of terminal two is about 625 metres and its width is about 395 meters. The area covered by terminal two is about 248,000 square metres. There are four levels in total and the height of the building is about 43.5 meters. The new terminal adds 72 check-in counters, 30 security lines and seven baggage claim areas.
The underground traffic system is ready to be put into service with the new terminal as well. Travellers can take subway line two, buses, taxis, and shuttles to transfer and get into the city without any inconvenience.Â
