The China Tourism Industries Exposition (CTIE) opened to the public at the Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin, a port city in North China, from Sept 19 to 22. The CTIE was seen as a carnival for tourism and a platform for cooperation and mutual development.
Aiming to enhance the productivity of the tourism industry, the CTIE serves to improve the cooperation of tourism and other industries, as well as push forward innovative development of the tourism equipment manufacturing industry.
"Although Tianjin has limited tourism resources, the city has a solid foundation for the development of the high-end manufacturing industry. We will make efforts to integrate tourism with the secondary industry and develop the city’s tourism based on its own characteristics," said He Zhineng, deputy head of the city’s tourism administration.Â
