The Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission has announced that Tianjin will seize the historical opportunity and take full advantage of the National Innovative Demonstration Area. Therefore, the city will enhance the top-level design of the demonstration area.

Zhao Haishan, director of the Tianjin Science and Technology Commission said that the city will actively launch policy research and continuously put an emphasis on supporting major projects. A five-year development plan will be enacted for the demonstrative area, in order to strengthen the top-level design of the demonstrative area.

It is reported that, in accordance with the State Council, the Binhai Innovative and High Technology Area will be at the core, in order to focus on the development of district and county branch parks. Tianjin will establish a united management system for the demonstrative area and its 21 branch parks, as well as enjoy the same preferential policies as the Zhongguancun area.

In order to maximize the potential and develop the role of each park and area, Zhao says that Tianjin will scientifically enact an industrial development plan as well as further clarify the overall development idea, strategy, goal, major industries involved, and the industrial arrangement of branch parks, key responsibilities, and security measures.Â
