The Lion Dance has been a traditional part of Chinese culture for a long time, and marked the start of the hotel’s Chinese New Year celebrations on February 19, 2015. Started at 8:18 a.m., Tianjin indigenous dance team performed a traditional Lion Dance in the lobby of Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Convention Centre Hotel. From there, the lion dancers were weaving their way through the hotel outlets, warding off evil spirits, sending Blessings and collecting HongBao – good luck red envelopes – along the way.
Hotel Acting General Manager, Mr. Cliff Chow, greeted the Lions at the Hotel entrance and dotted the eyes of the dancing lions to celebrate the coming of the New Year.
In addition, Hotel Acting General Manager, Cliff Chow thanked every guest attended and on behalf of Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Convention Centre Hotel Family wished them a fabulous Chinese New Year and no matter it is a Ram, Goat, Sheep or Xi Sheep Year.
