The city of Tianjin recently got approval for a national innovative bio-pharmaceutical research site as one of ten large comprehensive sites in China, run by the Tianjin Global Bio-pharmaceutical Institute.
The site has brought together organizations in the field with four key technology sites and seven support sites, from research to pre-clinical research, to clinical tests and production.
The site is expected to provide innovative pharmaceutical research and development (R&D) for the city of Tianjin’s pharmaceutical business and the whole country as well, and is able to stand on the shoulders of the Institute as a technological incubator. To do this it has attracted and sponsored pharmaceutical R&D teams in intelligent technology, testing, and data analysis.
It has also gotten 200 experts, two of them Nobel Prize winners, two members of the Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering, one from the Royal Academy of Engineering in the Great Britain, and 17 from the National Global Expert Recruitment Program, with the hires putting the institute in the first place among all large national sites.
It has also brought in 135 small-to-mid-sized technology businesses and 176 major industry programs.
It explains that it is dedicated to the study of cancer, major infectious diseases, diabetes, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
It has also made every effort in pharmaceutical R&D and has registered seven new medical developments, has received 19 clinical approvals, and has six applications for its pharmaceutical and clinical research and is expected to have more than 60 pharmaceutical achievements over the next two years.
