Tianjin Binhai New Area has achieved great economic results in the past ten years. This was declaredacknowledged by, according to Zong Guoying, NPC representative and director of the Binhai New Area Commission at the Tianjin representative delegation's media open day during the third session of the 12th National People's Congress on March 9 at the Great Hall of the People.

Binhai's economic situationy has been in a steadily on the riseincreased situation in the past decade, both of the economic trend and residents' income index stayed positive. The GDP experienced a6.8 times growth of 6.8 times, which equals 20.5 percent of annual growth.

Zong remarked that Binhai highly emphasizes on areas such as technological innovation, further completion of innovation systems, improvement of system innovative capability, breakthroughs on cutting-edge technological innovation, and the development of technology small to medium sized enterprises. Binhai and has received great achievements in all these areas.

In addition, the Binhai New Area has become a pioneer in implementing administrative examination and comprehensive reform of law enforcement by establishing a special team to manage the entire process.
