The Astor Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel is holding a Thai Food Festival from 15th of May, 2015.
Star chef Mr. Wang Song from Thailand will prepare a variety of dishes to satisfy Tianjin even the most discernible of Tianjin foodies.
Song Wang has nearly 30 years of culinary experience and a deep knowledge of Thai food culture. He has worked for the Four Seasons, Pan Pacific, St. Regis Beijing, Shanghai Westin and other five-star hotels in Southeast Asia. He has also successfully promoted Thai cuisine at the Shangri-La in Penang, Malaysia and Bangladesh Dhaka Pan Pacific Hotels. Among the speciality dishes on offer are roast beef salad, prawn Tom Yum Goong soup and lime basil fried pork steamed mandarin fish. At this year’s Thai Food Festival Song Wang will make special Ruby Milk Tea and a sweet coconut milk drink to entertain guests. These fresh drinks will make people’s mouths water.
Other specialties are popular favourites Mango sticky rice and Thai green curry chicken. During the Thai Food Festival exquisite Thai cocktails will also be on offer to make your night that bit more special. The hot and sour charecteristics and the fresh taste of Thai foodis well-known around the world. Spicy peppers supplemented by lemongrass, galangal, coriander, local spices and an abundance of fresh herbs make for a unique and memorable set of flavours.
