A meeting on employment and entrepreneurship for Taiwan youth was held in Tianjin on March 27th. Around 90 representatives, including business delegates and Taiwan students of Peking University and Tsinghua University attended the forum.
The forum, co-hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipality, the Tianjin Binhai CBD Administrative Committee, the China Communist Youth League Tianjin Committee, the Tianjin Youth Federation and the Youth Committee of Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits, was a bridge for exchanges of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial resources.
Yu Weizhong, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Tianjin, said that student communications across the Taiwan Straits have been frequent and lively, adding that the students are all eager to put what they'€™ve learned at school into practice.
In July, 100 openings will be available to Taiwan students in Tianjin according to the Taiwan Affairs Office of Tianjin.
Tianjin boasts various entrepreneurial areas, such as the free trade zone and the Binhai New Area. Under the Beijing-Tinajin-Hebei Region initiative and the "Belt and Road" program, the city has become a magnet for Taiwan students and entrepreneurs.
