The meeting in Tianjin will discuss the progress of the Eco-city project, as well as work plans leading up to the Eco-city's 10th anniversary in 2018.
Singapore's Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong will be in Tianjin, China, from Thursday (April 28th) for the 7th Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Joint Working Committee Meeting, said the ministry.
Leaving on Wednesday, Mr Wong will be co-chairing the meeting with China's Minister for Housing and Urban Redevelopment Chen Zhenggao. The committee will discuss the progress of the Eco-city project, as well as work plans leading up to the Eco-city's 10th anniversary in 2018, according to the press release on Wednesday.
Separately, Mr. Wong will be meeting Tianjin Mayor Huang Xingguo, who is also the Acting Party Secretary of Tianjin.
Mr. Wong will be in Tianjin until Friday, and he will be accompanied by Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office and Manpower Sam Tan, officials from the Ministry of National Development and other Government agencies involved in the Eco-city project, the press release said.
