Promotion of the investment climate in Portuguese-speaking countries was one on the agenda of a delegation of the Permanent secretariat of Forum Macau that travelled to Tianjin, China last week.
 

According to a statement issued in Macau by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum the delegation, headed up by the secretary general Chang Hexi, took advantage of the trip to Tianjin also to extend cooperation with companies from mainland China, Macau and the Portuguese-speaking countries, using Macau as a services platform.
 

During the visit, from 6 to 8 March, a meeting was held between businesspeople from a variety of sectors. Delegates from the Portuguese-speaking countries made presentations of the business and investment climate in their countries and about preferential investment policies offered.
 

The delegation also visited Tianjin Tasly Group Co. Ltd, Tianjin Suli Cable Group, the Tianjin Urban Planning Exposition Pavilion, the Duty Free Zone and the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone.
 

Tianjin municipality is on the Chinese coast south of Beijing.
