The eighth Summer Davos Forum, or the Annual Meeting of New Champions 2014, successfully closed on 12 September in Tianjin with high compliments from attendees for its well-organised meetings and great services.  Once again, as the only officially appointed hotel group, Hyatt Regency Tianjin East, together with its sister hotel Hyatt Regency Jing Jin City Resort and Spa, provided off-site event services for the cultural soiree and closing cocktail ceremony, representing Tianjin in welcoming the world leaders. 

 

It was the third time that this significant event took place in Tianjin.  With the theme of creating value through innovation, the Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin successfully drove global attention towards innovation, which has been a focal issue for many countries since the 2008 financial crisis.  The 2014 Summer Davos Forum was the largest in the forum¡¯s history, with more than 1,700 heads of state, CEOs, presidents, government officials and business leaders from more than 100 countries. 

 

Hyatt Regency Tianjin East and Hyatt Regency Jing Jin City Resort and Spa had worked very closely together to prepare this event since June, 2014. Two teams met regularly and worked out detailed action plans step by step to ensure the whole workflow well planned, organized and executed. After three months¡¯ preparation, more than 100 chefs and 300 event service specialists from participated in the event. All kitchen equipment and culinary practices were strictly inspected to assure hygiene and safety up to standards.  A polished Chinese and Western buffet dinner was presented to pamper guests from all over the world.  The two hotels demonstrated a great team work spirit and it was very rewarding for the whole team to put so much effort into this meaningful project and see such fantastic results.
