As a part of the agreement on the integrated development of North China's Tianjin city and Hebei province, signed this August, the Hebei-Tianjin circular economy demonstration park is already under construction.
The construction of the precision casting has been completed and has been put into operation. Shortening the manufacturing process, the project saves 300 kilowatt-hours when casting one ton of steel. In addition, it not only saves energy, but also reduces costs and improves the competency.
The fuel gas and steam electricity generating project (also known as the CCPP project), which uses both gas and vapor to generate electricity, is now under construction. It is estimated that the project will save 65,000 tons of coal annually. Together with other electricity power generating projects, Tiantie's electricity generating self-efficiency rate will reach 80 percent.
The precision casting project is being undertaken by Tianjin Tiantie Group. Tian Shili, general manager of the company, explained that the project has changed the industry’s casting process.
The enterprises usually bought in pig iron and scrap steel, resolved them at a high temperature, and then poured them into moulds. But now, the enterprises use melted iron from a blast furnace and liquid steel from a converter produced by Tiantie. The melted iron and liquid steel can be directly poured after tempering and other processes.
The whole process is shortened and it also helps to save the cost, and reduce the emissions of dust and noxious gases.
