On Saturday, 28th March 2015, in honour of World Wide Fund for Nature’s (WWF) Earth Hour, millions of people around the globe switched off lights to celebrate their commitment to the planet. New World Beijing Hotel joined in this worldwide initiative for environmental awareness by turning off all non-essential lighting for one hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
At TANG, from 6p.m. onwards, guests enjoyed a Chilled Oolong Tea in an enchanting candlelit oasis to celebrate this worldwide movement for the planet.
At 8 QI NIAN, the chefs have created a delicious, thoughtfully prepared “Earth Hour” menu made exclusively with organic vegetarian ingredients to promote dining with a low carbon footprint.
At YIN on 12, hundreds of candles were lit and our bartenders made two delicious Earth Hour Cocktails – the Starshine and Blue Earth – for guests to sip under the stars.
