Around 350 helicopter manufacturers and service providers are expected to attend the Third China International Helicopter Exposition this September in Tianjin, according to the Tianjin Airport Economic Area's Administration Committee.

 

Yang Bing, director of the Tianjin Airport Economic Area's Administration Committee, mentioned that the preparation of the third Tianjin Helicopter Expo has moved forward smoothly.

 

More than 200 international and domestic helicopter companies have applied and registered for the helicopter expo, including the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), Airbus Helicopters, Russian Helicopters and Bell Helicopters, according to Yang.

 

Under the theme "Technology, Innovation, and Future", the total exhibit area will be 160,000 square meters and the indoor exhibition hall 30,000 square meters, 50 percent more than the last expo.

 

The expo puts emphasis on creating the "new highlights" - visitors can see domestic, Russian-built and American or European helicopters on the same stage.

 

It will also be the first official appearance for some helicopter equipments and unmanned aerial vehicles.

 

The exhibition will promote the experience of helicopter flight and meeting the helicopter pilots.

 

The exposition is the only national level exhibition for helicopters with an air flight show. It is held every other year.

 

The helicopter expo aims to provide an international communications platform for helicopter producers from all around the world, and promote the rapid development of aviation in Tianjin and the rest of China.
