Raffles Tianjin, the newest five-star luxury hotel in Tianjin held a ceremony to welcome the municipality press on 2 March 2010. From the executive staff General Manager, Gilbert Madhavan; Vivian Koh, Manager of Public Relations and Communications; Amy Ang, Director of Sales and Marketing and Elsa Liu, Sales Manager were in attendance. The event was held in the Yangtze Conference Room beginning at 10:30 am and attended by local press.Â
The area press was escorted to the conference room where they were served light cocktails followed by a presentation of the Raffles brand. The Raffles brand is focusing on three new openings in 2010 and 2011 to include Tianjin, China; Paris, France and Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The presentation was ensued by a bi-lingual guided tour and brought to a close by an elegant multiple-course lunch in the hotel’s Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant. Raffles’ trademark in Tianjin is being the city’s first penthouse hotel with rooftop dining.
