China Construction Bank will extend 400 billion to 500 billion CNY in new loans in 2009, 13-15% more than this year, Thomson Financial News reported on Tuesday. The bank signed an agreement on Monday with the Binhai New Area, to open a line of credit of at least 180 billion CNY (26 billion USD) for infrastructure projects and local firms over the next three years, the bank said on its website. The agreement runs to the end of 2010.
