Canadian-based Alcan, global manufacturers of primary aluminum, announced its manufacturing base in Tianjin will be completed by the end of this year and put into operation in early 2009, China Daily reported. With an investment totaling 40 million USD, the project will be Alcan's first world-class manufacturing base in China with an annual production capacity of 33,000 tons of special alloy cable.
