Gamesa, one of the biggest wind turbine manufacturer in the world, said this week that it has received orders to supply 295 megawatts of power generating capacity to wind farms in China in 2009. Gamesa also said it will supply Chinese renewable energy group Longyuan Electric Power Group with 347 wind turbines manufactured at its plants in Tianjin. The orders from Longyuan, owned by China's largest electricity firm Guodian Corp., include supervising the installation of the wind turbines and their operation, as well as a two-year operating and maintenance contract.
