China's number in Top 500 companies falls from 51 to 47, according to Hurun Global 500 Report 2021 released on Friday.
 

Those companies, led by Tencent worth $697 billion and Alibaba, represented a total value of $5.5 trillion, more than the combined total of companies from third- and fourth-placed Japan and UK. But Alibaba's value was down 18 percent to 3.8 trillion yuan ($584 billion) and dropped 2 places to 9th globally following China's tougher regulations on platform economy, the report said.
 

Globally, the US led with 243 companies, up by one; followed by China 47, down by four. Japan was third with 30 and the UK was fourth with 24.
 

As per the report, the top 10 companies were worth $12.2 trillion, up $1.8 trillion, and represented 21% of the total value of the Hurun Global 500. Notably, US-based Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon and Apple only added $1.5 trillion of value, 18% of the entire list.
 

胡润世界500强，47家中国公司上榜

8月20日，胡润研究院发布《2021嘉兴•胡润世界500强》，列出了世界500强非国有企业，按照企业市值或估值进行排名。苹果公司以15.8万亿价值蝉联“胡润世界500强”榜首，比去年榜单发布时增长15%。微软、亚马逊和Alphabet分别以13.7万亿、11.7万亿和11.2万亿位列第二至第四。“世界四大巨头”近两年平均增加了一万亿美金的价值。
 

“胡润世界500强”企业总价值比去年增长50万亿，达到375万亿。其中，美国企业增长了32万亿；其次是中国和瑞士，都增长了1万亿。
 

胡润方面称，500强公司中，上市公司市值按照2021年7月15日的收盘价计算，非上市公司估值参考同行业上市公司或者根据最新一轮融资情况进行估算。
 

与此前公布的《财富》世界500强有所不同，胡润世界500强只包含非国有企业。因此，许多为公众熟知的中外国有企业，都未能出现在胡润世界500强的榜单上。并且，胡润世界500强是以企业市值或估值排名，《财富》世界500强则是按营收排名。
 

今年，中国有47家公司进入胡润世界500强，腾讯、阿里巴巴为首，这两家公司均进入世界前十。31家企业价值比去年增长，包括7家新上榜企业。16家企业价值比去年下降或保持不变。11家企业落榜。
 

这47家中国企业分布在21个城市，北京以9家居首，其次是上海和深圳，分别有7家。上榜企业总价值36万亿元。公司平均“年龄”24岁。其中，医疗健康、娱乐行业贡献最多（各6家），其次是消费电子和金融服务行业（各5家），零售行业4家。
