Health authorities in the Beijing Municipality have announced that all arrivals coming from Macau need to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
After the 14-day medical observation, people arriving in the city from Macau will need to go through a 7-day health monitoring period.
The measures will be adjusted according to the evolution of the pandemic situation in the Macau SAR, said a note issued by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, quoting health authorities from the capital.
Macau recorded two more local COVID-19 cases last week. The new cases were both non-resident workers who were close contacts of the four construction workers who tested positive last week. The two had been in quarantine since 5 October and had previously tested negative, but tests conducted last Friday 8 October returned positive results.
